As a Human Appeal volunteer, you’ll have exciting opportunities to make a difference while building transferable skills. Whether you’d like to join our Schools Outreach Programme, collect coats for our award-winning Wrap Up campaign, rise to our Challenges, take part in our community events, or deliver aid in humanitarian hotspots, there are so many ways you can get involved.

What our volunteers say

Hear first-hand what this experience means to our volunteers.

“Being at Human Appeal has been such a blessing. I've met so many amazing people and made bonds that will last for many years to come. Being shy and introverted I thought it would take a long time to get used to being with loads of other people, but the environment was so comforting, I felt at home right away!

Raiyaan, London

“I’ve been volunteering with Human Appeal for about four years. Human Appeal are never short of volunteering opportunities, whether it be events, challenges, fundraising, collections, leafletting and even community service! We are kept well informed, mainly via WhatsApp group chats - which is always active!

“Working alongside Human Appeal has so far been an amazing experience. It’s always been a dream of mine to provide for those in need and what better way than through a faith based charity such as Human Appeal. Thanks to the team leaders, staff other volunteers who have taken me in with open arms. They never made me feel left out and treated me wonderfully throughout. Volunteering for this organisation has been greater than I could have imagined.

Mahfuz, Birmingham

“My experience at Human Appeal has been full of positivity and great energy. Throughout my journey, which only started a year ago, I have had the privilege to meet some wonderful people and had some memorable experiences. I’ve now become a team-leader. I have learned how much you can achieve when people work together and are driven to achieve something special.”

Mahid, Glasgow

“Volunteering with Human Appeal has been so much fun! The people are so friendly and welcoming. At first, I was scared and apprehensive as I know Human Appeal is a faith based charity and, being an English revert, I wasn’t sure how I would be welcomed, but the team are truly such kind people. I never felt out of place or like I wasn’t important. This is one of the reasons I enjoy it. You get to meet new people and the best part is that you’re volunteering!

Chelsea, Bradford

“Being a Human Appeal volunteer has given me countless memories and opportunities. The team is amazing - everyone is so kind and understanding. I can honestly that since becoming a volunteer I have become a new person. I have humbled myself and feel great satisfaction that every penny raised is raised to transform lives. Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much!

Aisha, Birmingham
